DESCRIPTION:  Micah Legal is Kentucky’s first sliding scale legal services nonprofit. Our mission: to increase access to justice for Lexingtonians with low-to-moderate incomes. No one should have to go to court alone.

SERVICES / PROGRAMS:   Organized as a Kentucky nonprofit and having federal 501(c)3 status, our approach is to do justice, love mercy, and act with humility. We do this by providing affordable sliding scale legal services based on family size and income. Our hourly rates range from $15/hr. to $150/hr., depending on your circumstances.  For the thousands of Lexingtonians who make a little too much money to receive free legal services, but can’t afford market rates, Micah Legal is a godsend.

• Wills, Powers of Attorney:
  Estate planning will protect your family from undue burdens after your passing. Work with Micah Legal to create wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other documents that will increase your peace of mind.
• Divorce and Family Law:
  Micah Legal can help you with child custody and child support, divorce, and other family law matters. Micah Legal provides assistance with contested and uncontested divorces.
• Expungement:
  Recent changes in Kentucky law have made expungements available to many more people. Contact Micah Legal to discuss whether or not you are eligible for an expungement.
