SERVICE AREA: Macomb County with services concentrated in Warren and Mt. Clemens and additional services available through Salvation Army facilities and Family Stores throughout the county.
CLIENTS SERVED: Individuals and families experiencing poverty, homelessness, hunger, utility or housing crises, and other emergencies. The Salvation Army does not require clients to be Salvation Army members. Eligibility depends on the individual program.
DESCRIPTION: The Salvation Army tries to meet human needs without discrimination. In Macomb County, emergency assistance, community programs, homelessness services, recovery programs, and long-term support designed to help people overcome poverty and achieve greater stability.
PROGRAMS/SERVICES
Services may require an assessment intake and appointment. Programs operate dependent on funding and may not be available throughout the year. Call for current process, status, and eligibility.
- Emergency Financial Assistance – Emergency help may be available for qualifying needs.
- Utility Assistance – Energy assistance is administered through designated Salvation Army Corps.
- Food Assistance/Food Pantry – Food assistance is available through participating Corps.
- Rent/Housing Assistance – Assistance may be available for qualifying housing emergencies.
- Homeless Services – Emergency shelter, meals, hygiene supplies, clothing, case management, and housing assistance.
- Pathway of Hope – Case management for families working toward longer-term goals such as budgeting, employment, housing stability, and self-sufficiency.
- Employment/Job Readiness – Referrals, training, and employment-related support available through Pathway of Hope and local programs.
- Senior Programs – Social activities, education, fellowship, and recreational programming. Mt. Clemens offers Senior Connection activities for adults in the area.
- Youth Programs – Sports, youth activities, and other programming.
- Recovery Services – Harbor Light provides residential and supportive recovery services for people dealing with substance-use issues.

- Macomb Harbor Light – Residential recovery and supportive services for adults dealing with substance-use issues.
- Family Stores throughout Macomb County – Provide affordable clothing, furniture, household goods, and other donated merchandise. Proceeds support Salvation Army programs.
