CLIENTS SERVED: Individuals and families in need who are referred through approved Oakland County social-service agencies and caseworkers.

The Ladies of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul – Oakland County Association is a volunteer-run organization providing essential goods and assistance to people in need. Its primary direct-service program is the Clothes Closet & Food Pantry, which works with social-service agencies to provide clothing, food, household necessities, hygiene products, and other basic needs.

SERVICES & PROGRAMS:

• Clothes Closet & Food Pantry: Provides clothing from newborn through adult sizes, emergency food, household items, hygiene supplies, and cleaning products. Clients cannot order directly from the Clothes Closet & Food Pantry. A social-service agency or caseworker must register with the Ladies of Charity and place the order on the client’s behalf. If client does not have an agency referral, call 313-393-2930 for assistance.
• Food Assistance: The food pantry purchases food through Gleaners and the USDA Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) and provides emergency food to clients referred by participating agencies.
• Christmas Basket Program: Provides adopted families with holiday meals, pantry staples, gifts, children’s clothing, and household necessities during the Christmas season.
• Bake & Share: Provides freshly baked goods to the Matchan Nutrition Center each Tuesday, except holidays.
• Seasonal Assistance: Participates in Thanksgiving turkey and Easter ham drives, winter coat drives, and other seasonal community-support initiatives.
• Community Partnerships: Supports organizations serving people in need, including Matchan Nutrition Center, Mary’s Mantle, and Mary’s Children.
