DESCRIPTION
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Detroit is a Catholic nonprofit providing assistance and supportive services to people experiencing poverty and hardship. Its programs address basic needs including food, housing, utilities, education, transportation, and youth development.

SERVICES & PROGRAMS:

• Home Visits: Local St. Vincent de Paul members visit people in need to provide assistance, listen to their concerns, and connect them with available resources.
• Energy & Rent Assistance: Assistance with utility and rent needs is available; availability and eligibility vary. Call 313-393-2930 for Rental assistance. Call 313-393-2855. for Utility assistance.
• Food Assistance: Food assistance is provided through the Community Market and Matchan Nutrition Center, helping individuals and families access nutritious food.
• Education & Mentorship: Educational and mentoring programs help children and young people with academic and personal development.
• Summer Camps: Free overnight summer camp programs for children experiencing economic hardship, including Traditional Camp for ages 8–12, Adventure Camp for ages 13–14, and a Staff-in-Training program for ages 15–16.
• Thrift Stores & Donation Centers: Operates stores and donation centers that provide donated goods to the community and generate revenue to support their programs.
