Wayne County Veterans’ Services has a team ready to assist at the Health, Human & Veterans’ Services Office. They provide assistance to eligible veterans in Wayne County with:
Veteran Financial Hardship Services: temporary emergency financial assistance to Wayne County honorably discharged indigent wartime veterans, their spouses, and dependent children so they can meet their immediate needs.
Veteran Support Services: Provides VA Compensation/Disability application servicess to Wayne County eligible veterans and their families so they can receive additional benefits and secure employment.
Veteran Funeral Expense Assistance: Provides assistance with funeral expenses for veterans who have received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Armed Forces, with at least 90 days of recognized war time service.
